Catered Chalet - The Food

You can be rest assured that your hosts will provide delicious, wholesome, and filling meals. We use local, fresh produce and almost all of our food is home-made. We cater for all kinds of diets to include vegetarian, vegan and gluten free, plus also offer a children's menu.

The day begins with a filling breakfast to get you ready for your day on the slopes. We offer a choice of cereals, porridge, yoghurts, fresh fruit, freshly baked bread, delivered daily and croissants, which are cooked in the chalet. A selection of jams, butter and a selection of teas, fresh coffee and fruit juice. A hot dish will also be available, such as Scrambled Egg and Grilled Tomatoes.

On your return from the slopes you can enjoy afternoon tea with homemade cake or biscuits, bread, jam, tea, coffee and hot chocolate.

Relax in front of the fire with pre-dinner canapés and drinks served every night. Look forward to a delicious three-course dinner, followed by a cheese course. We have a choice of complimentary bottled house reds, whites and rose wines to accompany your dinner, which is of a high standard.

Coffee and petit fours will be served in the lounge, where you can relax by the fire.

We also have a selection of fine wines and champagne for purchase if you require something a little more special. We have a low priced bar selling cold beer and mixers and we will provide plenty of ice and lemon. You are welcome to bring your own spirits.

Normally if there is enough space and it is practical to do so, your chalet hosts join you for dinner.

Special Occasions

To help you celebrate and enjoy those special occasions, such as birthdays or anniversaries, we can decorate a cake and serve some bubbly. Please advise us at the time of booking.

Special Dates

At Christmas and New Year, we enter into the festive spirit. The chalets are decorated and we have a real Christmas Tree in every chalet. We will prepare a traditional Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings to include crackers, mince pies, Christmas Pudding and even Stilton Cheese. New Year is celebrated with a special dinner followed by fireworks in the village. We also arrange a nice surprise if you are with us on Pancake Day, Valentine's Day or before Easter.

High Tea

Parents bringing young children may like to take advantage of our High Tea Service. We offer a simplified two course dinner, normally served at an earlier time of around 6pm. Consisting of a nutrious, healthy main course and a delicious dessert, to include favourites such as breast of chicken with pasta, carrots and broccoli, followed by chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream.

High Tea will be provided with squash or milk. Please give details on the booking form of how many children require high tea and indicate what they enjoy eating, and we will endeavour to cater for their preferences.

Chalet Hosts Day Off

The hosts have a much deserved day off in the middle of the week. Breakfast is self service without the hot option, all laid up the night before and afternoon tea will be provided as usual. In the evening you will be able to sample one of the local restaurants, which we will be happy to recommend and book for you.
